It’s Covid time! And boy teaching online is a lot of work. Fall 2020 had me teaching COMS 210: Intro to Communication Studies (which I return to after a hiatus) and COMS 608: Sound Studies (this year’s topic: Instruments and Instrumentalities–cotaught with Emily Dolan at Brown). Winter 2021 I am teaching my course on Disability and Technology. Diminished Faculties is back at Duke University Press and going into production for Fall 2021. I am working on Tuning Time: Histories of Sound and Speed (coauthored with Mara Mills) and a big new project on AI and culture. I am also high risk, so I am not doing any traveling until I know it’s safe to do so.
