About this site . . .

This site is designed to help you do well in Media Theory. This page explains how it works. Since some students have little or no background on the web, my explanations are really basic.

You can go to the index page by clicking on the words "Media Theory," or simply arriving at this site. When you go to the index page, you get the latest headlines and news from the course. Here, you'll find announcements of the next readings due, latest handouts, and other important information. If I ever cancel office hours or class, I'll announce it here. At the bottom of the page will be a link to old announcements.

The assignments page has web versions of most of the handouts distributed in class. All major assignments will be available online, so you can print them out if you need another copy.

On the readings page, you'll find reading questions for every assigned reading before it is due. Quizzes are based upon my reading questions, so they're meant as a study aid.

This is the "about" page, which you no doubt arrived at by clicking "about."

The syllabus page has an online version of the syllabus and course schedule. The most important part of the syllabus page is the course schedule. If there are changes in the schedule, this is where they will be posted. Changes will also be announced in class. You are expected to know when things are due.

The contact page has my contact information.
