Bass

I have played bass since I was 10. I play electric now, until I can find the time to take enough lessons to get my upright skills back together. I'm more about melody, feel and cool sounds than about speed or "chops." I strum chords, tweak harmonics, routinely change my tunings, and run my bass through lots of signal processing equipment. I'm in a band called Lo-Boy.

Lo-Boy is Michael Whitmore and myself playing two basses with some minimal drums, pretty vocals, and occasional wacky stuff. What does it sound like? Until you hear the mp3s, you'll have to live with our metaphors:

-- Like every other 2 bass cabaret act you've ever heard

-- Slow, low and pretty, except when it's high

-- Will make your speakers sparkle and moan
