Online Peer Responses
Media & Music — Spring 2004

Purpose: To get you feedback on your journals and to provide you with an opportunity to read other students' ideas.

Dates Due: Responses to two different students are due exactly one week after each online assignment.

Product:  Post your response as a "reply" to your classmate's journal.  Each response should be 75-200 words long (250 words is approximately one double-spaced page).  Your goal is to provide feedback that would be useful to the author.  Your response should answer the following questions:

What did the author do well?

What questions do you have about what the author wrote?

What suggestions do you have for the author's project?

Feel free to add anything else useful or constructive.

Informal style is fine.

Evaluation: Constructive responses that meet the basic requirements of the assignment will receive a 90.  Brilliant and extremely helpful or thoughtful responses will receive 100.  Substandard responses will receive a 75 or lower, and hostile, rude or inappropriate responses will be deleted with no credit going to the author.
